What types of HMO models can I choose from?

There are three major models. In a staff model HMO, doctors have their offices in HMO buildings and are direct employees of the HMO. Group model HMOs don't pay doctors directly but pay a group of physicians, who are then responsible for distributing payments to their members. Network model HMOs pay doctors in a network of groups. The network model is the most common.
